Smart control made easy – XBB PowerUnit 6 for vehicle builders and electrical enthusiasts

If you work with vehicle customization or retrofitting, the XBB PowerUnit 6 is a real game changer. Instead of tearing apart the interior to hunt for signals, this solution offers an elegant wireless installation – perfect for modern vehicles where simplicity, flexibility, and future-proofing are key. What makes the PowerUnit 6 especially interesting is the ability to control multiple lights or LED bars individually – for example, different auxiliary lights, work lights, or position lights. The system is scalable: up to four units can be connected to a single XBB Dongle®, which means a total of 24 controlled outputs – ready to be configured exactly as needed. The PowerUnit 6 communicates with the XBB Dongle, which “listens” to the vehicle’s CAN bus and picks up signals such as high beam, reverse gear, ignition, and more – without cutting or soldering into the original wiring. The signals are then transmitted wirelessly via Bluetooth (BLE 5) directly to the PowerUnit, which triggers the outputs based on the chosen recipe in the XBB Configurator app. The app provides a wide range of ready-made vehicle recipes, so you can quickly get started with the right signals for your vehicle.

Virtual control panel in your phone – manage everything from the app

For even more control, there is XBB Dashboard – a feature in the XBB Configurator that lets you create a virtual control panel directly in your smartphone. Here you can manually switch outputs on and off, monitor real-time data such as battery voltage, or add functions like strobe lights and PWM control. Each button is fully customizable – symbols, colors, and functions can all be adjusted to your preferences. In short?
